## Insurance Is Non-Negotiable (and Lenders Require It)

Before your new vehicle leaves the lot-or arrives at your door-you'll need active insurance. If you're financing or leasing, your lender *requires* comprehensive and collision coverage, not just liability. Proof of insurance is a closing document.

## Coverage Types

**Liability** covers damage you cause to others (required in Illinois). **Collision** pays for your car if you hit something. **Comprehensive** covers theft, weather, glass, etc. **Full coverage** = collision + comprehensive.

If you owe money on the vehicle, the lender is listed as "lienholder"-they want that full protection.

## Getting Quotes

Shop rates from your current insurer or get new quotes before purchase day. Rates vary by age, driving history, vehicle type, and coverage limits.

## Next Step

Secure your insurance quote now-don't wait until delivery. Have your policy active and ready to provide at closing. Questions about what your new vehicle costs to insure? Call **(779) 265-4427**, and our Finance team can discuss typical coverage needs and timing.
